Sports Premium
PE and Sport Grant for Primary Schools
In March 2013 the Government announced that it would provide additional funding to primary schools to support the improvement of provision of PE and sport. The funding, allocated to headteachers in primary schools is ringfenced and can only be spent on PE and sport in primary schools. Funding is calculated by reference to the number of primary aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11 years), as recorded in the January Schools Census. Schools can choose how they use this funding.
The headteacher and governors are accountable for the spending of the funding.
