Religion and World Views

“Religious education has an important place in the curriculum of all schools. It provides a space for learning about people, about cultures and faiths and also relationships, tolerance, understanding and appreciation of others’ beliefs and values.” (The Pan-Berkshire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education 2018-2023).

A SUN, we believe that teaching Religion and World Views is integral to ensuring that children have an understanding of the multi-cultural and multi-faith world evolving around them.

We are philosophers who think deeply and seriously

We are theologians who learn and understand what people believe

We are social scientists who learn about human society and social relationships

What our pupils say...

"The stories we learn in R.E. are fascinating." AK

"We have learned all about the traditions of other faiths, like Hinduism." AW

"I enjoy watching videos alongside my R.E. learning, these help me to have a greater understanding of how people of other world religions live and behave." KD
